Amrita Karma Yoga Program

Amrita Karma Yoga is the path of selfless service: love in action. Experience helps, but the ability and willingness to learn are more valuable. This path of selfless service is based on the example provided by Amma, who has dedicated her life to humanitarian and spiritual work and is a living expression of this Karma Yoga.

Mata Amritanandamayi Center of Northern California is located on 165 acres in a secluded and naturally pristine valley just 45 minutes from downtown San Fransisco. The M A Center is one of three current ashram sites in the U.S. and the North American headquarters. The Amma Center of New Mexico ashram Santa Fe ashram is surrounded by the inspiring beauty of the high desert foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains-clear night skies, arroyos, pinon and ponderosa pines, blankets of snow in winter, wild flowers in spring and summer, and golden leaves in fall. The third ashram is The Amma Center of Michigan located at Ann Arbor, MI. All three ashram sites offer the Amrita Karma Yoga program.

The Amrita Karma Yoga Program is a residential program only for those people who are interested in staying at the ashram for 2 weeks to 2 months. Please visit the links for getting involved with other seva opportunities.

You can make a difference - whether you choose to participate as a guest for a weekend or a few months internship, many crucial projects could benefit from your time and energy. By volunteering, you can make a tangible contribution to Amma's mission of love and service.
