Medical Outreach Camp

October, 2007

The Kalpetta medical outreach camp was held last month in the Amrita Kripa Charitable Hospital. The camp lasted for two days during which period, a total of four hundred and fourty four patients were treated.

Many tribal people received the free care that they needed and could not have otherwise afforded.

This is the twentieth visit of the Telemedicine unit this year. This camp’s specialty was general medicine. Patients were able to register upon arriving at the hospital.

Many Tribal people kept coming as this free care was a boon to them from time to time! Through the help of donations medicines are made available for the clinics and camps held all over India.

Advanced blood testing was done on fifty-four patients to gather further information for their care.

Sixteen patients suffering from pulmonary conditions were able to get
x-ray to further diagnose their care.
