Connecticut - Mother's Kitchen

We prepare and serve dinner every fourth Saturday evening of the month. We work with MACC Charities in Manchester CT. On Saturday evenings the soup kitchen serves about 30 to 40 people who are staying at the shelter located above the soup kitchen. Periodically Mother's Kitchen also holds food drives for the Food Pantry also run by MACC Charities, the food pantry serves families from Manchester, Vernon and Bolton areas. The facilities are located at 466 Main St. Manchester CT. There are usually about four or five sevites during a meal. This is a full kitchen, during the week lunch is served to anyone in need of a meal. Contact Person: Jill Cole – 860-228-0770.

We are now going on our 3rd year. We began this program in February of 2009. Last year we served on Christmas and this year we are graced with serving on Christmas Eve.
